The Ultimate Dog Collar
It’s your choice… Would you rather buy your pooch this dog collar, or feed the entire population of a starving Country for a year?
This dog collar is so expensive that you have to have an armed guard standing by just to get them to give you the actual price.
If you choose the collar over feeding the starving masses, how about asking your pooch this question…
If you could choose between this dog collar with the shiny rocks and some nice yummy dog chews, which would you choose.
My Guess is 10 out of 10 dogs would choose the dog chews.
Heartbreaking Story of 22 Dogs in a Car
The recent story from Grayson County, Texas of a woman living in her station wagon with 22 dogs is another example of how dogs are suffering because of the troubled economy.
The Papillions and Chihuahuas were placed in the custody of the Texas ASPCA by a Judge’s order. The healthy dogs will be put up for adoption.
The woman, who’s name was not released was homeless and had no where else to go.
I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been for both the woman and these 22 dogs. I also can’t imagine why the woman did not willingly turn the dogs over to a shelter or seek out homes, but because I don’t know the full circumstances it would be wrong for me to judge her.
I would like to encourage anyone that finds themselves in circumstances that makes it impossible to provide the basic necessities to their pets, to willingly give them up. I know it’s hard to give up a beloved dog, but their well-being should take precedence.
Every dog deserves, love, shelter, food and a dog bone now and then.

These Treats Are Only Made With The Finest Ingredients

You should always give your dog the best treats. With so many dog treats out there, you aren’t sure if they made with chemicals and other harmful ingredients. There had been recalls of dog food that are tainted with chemicals so you don’t want to give them bad food. You should give them all natural dog treats.
You can easily find these treats to give your loveable dogs. These treats come from free range cattle so you know that the cattle eat nothing but healthy grass. And since the source of the treats eat healthy, your dogs will eat healthy as well. You don’t have to worry about your dog getting sick with these healthy and all natural treats.
When Cattle Are Raised Naturally Their Meat Is Healthier
You can give your dog braided bully sticks as a treat every time you have a fun time outdoors or just for a snack. These sticks are all natural treats that come from free range cattle. These cattle eat only grass and no other food that can be tainted with chemicals. And since the cattle eat healthy, their meat is healthy as well.
Now, you don’t have to worry about your dogs eating chemical laced food that can poison them. With so many dog foods that are being recalled, it’s really great to find alternative food for your dogs. They will really love the flavor of these treats and will look for them always. They come in different sizes so any dog can really enjoy them.
You’re Wrong - Cat’s do not taste like Chicken
Contrary to popular belief … Cat’s do not taste like Chicken
At least that’s according to Sushi the pug and Bonkers the Shih Tzu. These pooches are on a mission to create harmony between cats and dogs. If more dogs would just eat bully sticks, there would be less problems with cat attacks.
Heartbreaking story of dogs in Iraq
This news report breaks my heart. It’s another case of how we, as humans, make dogs suffer.
It’s so senseless, there are other ways of controlling pet populations even in a war zone.
Makes me want to go hug my dog and cry.
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) — The shotgun blast rips into the stray dog’s midsection, sending it tumbling over and over. Agonizing yelps echo through the streets as it tries to reach and bite at the gaping wound. Minutes later, the dog is dead.
A few miles away, a puppy eats a piece of poisoned meat. Its body starts to twitch and spasm as the toxins kick in. It dies within 15 minutes.
The two strays were among the thousands that roam the streets of Baghdad. Authorities have been killing them since November, trying to prevent the spread of disease and attacks on residents.

Are you feeding your Dog…Poison?
It’s seems like every month there is a new Pet Food Scare.. Since last fall the top scare has been Peanut Butter.
I’m very concerned that it has taken the FDA literally months to recall some of these products and wonder how many pets and humans have needlessly been ill because of the FDA’s failure.
To their credit they now have the following widget that will update any new recalls.
My advice is for dog owners to stop feeding anything with peanut butter and only feed your pooch all natural dog treats.
Removing Matted Fur from your dog
Here’s something from my “you learn something new everyday file”.
I can’t tell you how many hours I have spent trying to safely remove matted fur from my Shih Tzu. I’ve trying to untangle them with a comb, brushing them and I’ve even resorted to scissors, but when I saw this Dr. Lauren video I got one of those “well duh” moments.
Enjoy the video … I’m off to remove some matted fur…
PS: Don’t forget to him your pooch a nice bully stick treat after you finish the grooming:-)
The Kids Dog Contract
Is your child begging and pleading for a new puppy?
As parents, we know how this usually turns out. They get the puppy, spend a couple of days playing with the puppy…then we get to train the puppy, clean up after the puppy, and care for the puppy.
To help even the odds that your child might actually fulfill his promise to care for your new dog, try getting them to sign a contract and post it on the refrigerator as a reminder.
Here’s a sample:
I ________________, promise to care for our new dog, and promise to love him and treat him with kindness. I also promise to do the following:
- Take him for walks everyday
- Play with him
- Train him and be his teacher. I will teach him to play nice with others, to go potty outside, and not to chew on stuff.
- I will make sure he has fresh water at all times
- I will feed him and keep his food and water bowls clean
- I will give him a warm safe place to sleep
- I will help keep him clean and well groomed
- I will give him only healthy all natural dog treats

As parents you should be responsible to see that your new pet is also spayed/neutered and receives proper veterinary care.
